Nerissa and Kathrine Bowes-Lyon

Idea: My sustained investigaion is what are the evils of the royal family. In this piece I am portraying the queens cousins as her or the queen of England. The cousins, Nerissa and Kathrine Bowes-Lyon were put in a mental institution and were disowned by their family for being special needs. I wanted to put them in a positive light so I made them the queen.
Process: First I found photos of them on google and printed them out. I then found newspaper articles of the queen's coronation on google and printed them out. I lined Kathrine and Nerissa up so it would line up with the queens body and glued it down. When I put them together I realized something was missing so I cut up a bunch of tiny British flags and made a border with them around the article by gluing them down.
Materials: I used photos of Nerissa and Kathrine Bowes-Lyon, articles of the queens coronation and the British flag to make the collage. I also used scissors to cut up the flag. I used craft glue to adhere it to each other.
